If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

I travel a lot. I loved the south of France and Italy... but it's always good to come back home!

What did you do before becoming an artist?

I am still working as a "psycho educator" in a rehabilitation hospital. My job is to help stroke or TBI victims to adapt to there new conditions and going safely back home. This helps me remember every day how lucky I am to be alive, healthy and free to do what I want with my free time...like painting!

What is your favorite saying or quote?

"In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you." -Buddha

What is your biggest inspiration for art?

I would say that colors are the center of my inspiration. Nature is very significant too. I like to let the moment decide on whatever will come out during my painting session. I try to paint every day after a writing and a meditation period. Many ideas flow during this quiet period and lead my creativity.

What is your favorite art medium to work with?

I would say ink and watercolor have the quote here!

If you could meet any deceased artist who would you meet?

I really adore Klee work. For what I know of him, he was a very sensitive and funny man. He created abstracts, figurative paintings and even puppets for his son. He seems to have a free mind/spirit and this really inspire me. "Color possesses me. I don't have to pursue it. It will possess me always, I know it. That is the meaning of this happy hour: Color and I are one. I am a painter." - Paul Klee

Do you feel the place you live has an effect on your art?

Yes, surely! I speak French. I was born and raise in the French culture. Nature and green spaces are part of our values. We find yourself lucky to have this much spring water and forest to cherish. Yet we do have European heritage that value art, music and general culture. I think it's a perfect mix for me.
I would add that here, in my house, light is a welcome guest. Some days, my studio is so luminous that I can feel I'm painting outside.
