Your art is full of different colors, what is your favorite color?

I've always liked blue. My favorite time of day is the evening hour, when things are settling down for the day, the fireflies come out, and everything becomes a shade of blue.

What is your favorite art medium to work with?

I enjoy many mediums, but I prefer working with acrylic paints

What saying or quote inspires you the most?

There are so many, I don't think I have one that inspires me above all others. When considering all things whimsical and imaginative, though, I must say I have always loved the dedication given at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz movie: "For nearly forty years this story has given faithful service to the Young in Heart; and Time has been powerless to put its kindly philosophy out of fashion. To those of you who have been faithful to it in return... and to the Young in Heart... we dedicate this picture." I, too, dedicate my artwork to the young at heart.

Do you feel the place you live has an effect on your art? If so, how?

Yes, the things I see and experience definitely play a role in my creative process. I've been fortunate to live in many different areas of the United States, as well as Ankara, Turkey and Bangkok, Thailand. Each place had its own unique beauty, and I often pull from memories when looking for art inspiration.

What is your biggest inspiration for art?

My biggest inspiration comes when I step outside and take in God's creation whenever and wherever I can.

What style do you classify your art as?

Due to my use of clean lines, bold colors, and representationalism, I would classify my work as a contemporary illustrative style.
