Richard Silver (Born in 1961) was born and raised in New York. He now lives in Manhattan. He started shooting full time in 2011 and is known for his photographs of monuments, landscapes, and cities worldwide. Driven by the desire for exploration, he captures scenes from the everyday world and then transforms them into unforgettable images. To alter the images that he captures, Silver utilizes digital photographic techniques such as vertical panoramas, HDR, tilt shift, and time slice. For example, he uses tilt shift to miniaturize the objects he captures on film, allowing him to make a monumental building or vast landscape appear small. Over the course of his career, Silver’s work has been exhibited in both galleries and museums, including AGallery, in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York, the Krause Gallery, in New York, VERVE Art Fair, in Brooklyn, NY., and The Skyscraper Museum, in New York. Silver’s love for travel has afforded him many opportunities to shoot different cities and cultures.

He has visited more than 220 cities and 75 countries and in his life. Although his former career paths included everything from real estate in Manhattan, to computer science, to Wall Street, he’s always maintained his passion for photography. Silver loves iconic architecture and is always focused on documenting beautiful structures in each new city he visits. His photographic style enhances the perspective of the viewer to look at the world in a whole new way. Some of his corporate clients include Tiffany and Co., UN Aids Organization, TimeOut New York, UNITED Airlines, AT&T, IKEA, Macy's, Capital One, Bank of America, ABC Carpet & Home, and CB Richard Ellis. Silver currently lives and works in New York.
