Maresa Pryor is a freelance photographer who aims at bringing awareness to special places throughout the world. She specializes in long lens and macro photography. With documentary experience and photojournalism, her travels have taken her around the world to astonishing places such as the United States, Cuba, the Galapagos Islands, Norway, Costa Rica, Southern Africa and Puerto Rico. Her photo credits include: Field & Stream, Audubon, Mother Earth News, Time for Kids, Living Bird, National Wildlife, National Geographic Kids, Ranger Rick, Outdoor Photographer, Shearson Publishing, Scholastic Inc., Smithsonian, Sierra, and more. The artist has participated in the American Society of Media Photographers of Central Florida as the chapter president since 1987. She was a founding member of the North American Nature Photographers Association, and has also served on the board for Sarasota Audubon Society.
Her influences were Wynn Bullock and Ansel Adams. She resides with her husband in Bushnell, Florida and loves camping with their horses. She holds an A.A. degree from Lake Sumter State College in Leesburg, Florida. Maresa also studied at Daytona State College in Photography. The photographer has authored Camping with Horses, A Trail Riders Guide to Camping in Florida. Maresa is represented by Danita Delimont, a stock photo agency known to represent only photographers who are able to produce high quality photographs. Many collectors stock large numbers of her art because their demand is high. Her art inspires upcoming photographers because they can be used to decorate any space and are easily recognizable because of their uniqueness.
