Jagdeep Rajput started off as a wildlife painter then turned to photography. Today he’s an award-winning photographer working with Danita Delimont. He’s happy to share with the viewers some stories and visuals …. Some small frames from the big canvas, which flashed before is camera … from the natural journey that began almost 30 years ago. What mean most to him isn’t necessarily capturing the image as much as being part of the natural world even if just for a moment. Rajput strongly feels, if a connection is made with that moment in time, the end result is achieved. The photographer hopes his viewers enjoy his vision as much as he did, when witnessed for the first time. Sincerely he expects the viewer to find some connection that inspires them to be good stewards of our fragile environment and to help preserve it for future generations.
He was awarded ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ and ‘Specially Commended’ in British Gas 1992 competition, organized by Natural History Museum and BBC, London. In the same year he attended the International Symposium on Wildlife Photography which took place at the Natural History Museum, London. He has received many other prestigious awards including Canon Asia Pacific Photo Contest (2nd prize), Honorable Mention in the 8th Annual Photo Contest by the National Geographic Traveler, Ballantine’s International Photography Award, Canon Asia Pacific Photo Contest, The Sanctuary-Abn Amro Wildlife Photography Award, among others. His works have been published in Defenders of Wildlife calendar, Nature’s Best Photography magazine, Travel Calendar by National Geographic, Cedco 2000 calendar line, National Geographic Traveler, jus to mention a few.
