Brent Bergherm’s goal is to help people become better designers and photographers. By understanding basic principles of design, he says people are better able to communicate their thoughts, purposes and ideals that are important to them he helps people communicate better in the visual arena. He’s a teacher at Walla Walla University, where he teaches Photography and Graphic Design. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Walla Walla University where he studied Design, Commercial Art, photography and graphic design. He also holds a master of arts degree in digital photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. on various summer mission trips, Bergherm worked with Maranatha Volunteers International. He wrote articles and photographed the activities about the experience. Locations included Ecuador, Southern Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Chile.

His work in photography is not limited to any particular genre. he’s always open to the surprises and opportunities each new day has to offer. Bergherm loved art from a tender age and he feels nostalgic about the old memories and stories he enjoyed. These have become strong influencers of his art. A journey began for him to compose an awesome photograph; artistic and relevant images. He was out there being the eyes of his viewers ... his home city gave it to him.
