Linda Lauby works and lives on Outer Banks of North Carolina, where her most important activity is publishing. She’s the owner of Outer Banks Press. This is a publishing company that produces quality art, custom publications and photography magazines and books. While the artist spends much of her time manning, editing, writing and planning photo shoots and working with other writers, clients, and artists, Linda’s greatest passion has always been her art. She’s primarily a printmaker, illustrator and painter. She began working in “artography” just a few years back. While helping to design and build a new restaurant in Richmond Virginia called LuLu’s, it reached a point where she needed industrial art for the walls but couldn’t find what she had envisioned, so she decided to create the images by herself.

Linda has been an artist and writer as long as she can recall. She had the intention of keeping art her love and not her profession, so she pursued a career that focused on her editing and writing skills, and worked for corporate clients in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. This was after she had attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She left the corporate world in the 1990s and that’s when she moved to Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her life here is unrepentantly entangled with nature, and she hopes that her art, writing and photography reflect this state of being. She lives on an island that’s so differently seductive than existing anywhere else – that’s according to her.
