Irene Suchocki (Born in 1964) is a Canadian photographer who is behind the Eye Poetry. She is best known for the feel and vintage style of her finished photographs. She developed a passion for traveling when she was still a teenager. Irene has become one of the more sought after photographers in her country since she launched a website to sell her work. She left Toronto n 2001 and got as far as Montreal, Quebec. Combining her dream-like aesthetic with her love of travel, she creates visual poems that evoke a sense of nostalgia, romance, delight, and magic. After completing her high school she joined the University of Toronto. After graduation, she was given a position as a technical writer but her heart was in photography. This forced her to quit her writing job in 2008 so she could concentrate on her photography.

Her series of photographs of Italy, New York, and Paris show these places in a unique way that give the viewers the sense of having stumbled upon through a secret door that leads to previously unseen world. In 2011, Irene travelled to France to photograph the wild horses of The Camargue. She created a series that celebrate both the graceful power of these beautiful creatures and their gentle nature. Her corporate clients include Hotchpotch Publishing, Galison Mudpuppy, The Greetings Company, Tyndale Publishers, Harper Collins Publishers, Portman’s Department Store, City of Montreal, Urban Outfitters, HTC, Bath and Body Works, and Ralph Lauren. She currently lives and works in Montreal.
