Marty LeMessurier is an artist who's been painting for over 20 years and has mastered realism. Her artistic works have one thing - they look real. Marty has a great eye and dexterity, enabling her to capture even the tiniest of detail, whether it's in the lighting, color, figures, or shadows. Her mastery of her art has seen her create pieces that are characterized with a signature palette of reds, blues, yellows and a cleverly use of color overlays and overlaps to get the best results. Marty has an ability to create her artwork using precision and texture that has seen many art critics ask if some of the beadworks found in her art are real. Most of her artistic works are mainly Native American, but she also captures a host of other subjects drawn from her many travels within the U.S. and internationally.
Whenever she's capturing a subject from the past, Marty always ensures that her art is historically accurate. This draws the audience to the historical significance of her artwork pieces. She mainly makes her paintings on furniture designed and made by her husband, Don Le Messurier. Don hand-makes the furniture using an old fashioned approach, making use of tenon joints, devoid of nails. Marty’s years of experience have seen her develop her signature style that she employs in delivering her artistic works. She has received acclaims from different quarters because of the quality of her works. Marty’s artistic works are found in galleries and collections across the U.S. and other global locations.
