Doctor Who Posters

If you’re a fan of sci-fi television shows, you’ve probably heard of Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a British television series about a Time Lord called The Doctor who travels through time in space in his aptly named TARDIS – Time and Relative Dimension in Space – and usually ends up battling creatures to save the world or the universe from destruction. That’s a very general description of the show at least. With 13 Doctors (did I mention that when he is near death, he is instantly reincarnated as someone else?) and the show spanning across decades, there’s a lot of material for artists to use as inspiration.

One of the most popular pieces of Doctor Who art created is an image of a Dalek saying, “To Victory!” They’re one of the greatest adversaries that the Doctor has to continuously face over and over again throughout the television series. This piece is very reminiscent of propaganda posters during World War I, which only demonstrates how powerful these Daleks are and their relationship to The Doctor.
