Ruane Manning (Born 1939) is an internationally reputed American artist who was born and raised in Philadelphia. He makes is paintings using oil paints on canvas. Manning has built his reputation over the years for his ability to inject life into his artwork through proper use of light, darks, and minor details. His artwork also stands out due to his proper use of colors. Most of his paintings are nature-based, covering landscapes, seascapes, skyscapes, animals, plants, and more. Manning is not only a painter, but he’s also a sculptor who has created several masterpieces to a variety of audiences. He went to Philadelphia Museum of Art where he studied art for a couple of years. Manning then traveled to several destinations before he finally settled in New Jersey where he still works today. He won several awards from his illustration and sculpting works from Philadelphia Art Alliance.

Manning’s artistic life changed for the better when he sold his first art print in 1968. Through that sale, more people saw and admired his works. Some of Manning's favorite art pieces include "Black Lab with Decoys," "Ocean Breeze," and "America's Prize." Artwork pieces he did for companies such as Hamilton Collection, Franklin Mint, and Danbury Mint have earned him international respect. Because of the content and quality of his artwork, they've been used on calendars, puzzles, and more. As for his sculpting works, U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan are examples of notable figures who owned them. Manning’s current subjects are Native Americans, plants, animals, and several others that interest him.
