Harold Silverman is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology. He was born in New York City. He spent his childhood surrounded by many art-loving friends who noticed his talent and encouraged him to pursue his interest in art. His particular skills were in pattern making, design, and product development. Before turning his talents to a lifelong artistic passion for photography, Silverman enjoyed a career in the manufacturing of sportswear for ladies. In 1970 the darkroom became the launching pad to vent a lifelong artistic effort and photography became the sanity within the pressures of the business world. Several major exhibits developed during this timeframe and a book of this effort has always been on the drawing boards. Silverman was introduced to the world of "Photoshop" in 1997 and since then has never looked back again and his photography hasn't been the same.

Silverman’s photographs are now much sort after by many private collectors and galleries throughout the world. His work has been published as greeting cards and as posters. His work can be found in several institutions and in thousands of private and corporate collections all over the world. Having excellent computer skills made his learning curve much shorter than his colleagues, and with the proper formal training he began to bring to life images that combine the world of art and the passion for photography. Silverman is captivated by the use of digital computer techniques to manipulate the images to make them more attractive.
