Alexis Lask was born in the famous Montparnasse district of Paris to parents who were both painters. In 1968 his family moved to Prades in southern France, where his mother had been raised. Lask started drawing there and when he graduated from high school, painting as well.
In 1984 Lask started a small framing business where he exhibited his first watercolor artworks. It was not until 1998, though, that he began to exhibit his art more widely; that year he exhibited in three shows including the famous Market for Contemporary Art in Paris. Since then he has exhibited in many places around France, including Le Cadre Gallery in Cahors and the Seine River Fest in Paris. In addition he has his own showroom and still likes the Collioure Seafront Outdoor Exhibition where many painters traditionally show their work. Lask is married and has three children.
