Painting and horseback riding on the outskirts of the beautiful artist community of Sedona, Arizona, Lisa Danielle is living the ideal western lifestyle, she says. Her experiences there, coupled with her knowledge of Native American cultures and Western heritage, give her the inspiration she needs to create her evocative paintings. Danielle lives between Indian reservations and the great Southwestern ranches, surrounded by her horses, her Western research library, and her extensive artifact collection. There, Danielle paints intimate "portraits" of life in the historic Old West that captivate the viewer with their rich design and attention to the most subtle detail. Danielle says, "So fascinating a study is this, really a study of us all, that it is worth a lifetime of exploring in paint." Danielle studied art at California State College and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Her work is featured in the Favell Museum of Western Art and Indian Artifacts in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and the Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art in Boulder, Colorado. She has exhibited at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper, Wyoming, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles in California, and selected galleries. Her work is included in many private collections.
