Photographer Barbara Simmons features bold colors and various textures in her photographic art. Barbara often carried a camera with her as a child. This fascination started before she was old enough to even use a camera herself! As a younger child, she would look through the view hole and dream of the beautiful photographs that she would take.
Barbara says that the best part of taking a new photo, for her, is the anticipation of knowing that this moment in time was just captured forever. This moment is when her new art creation process begins. She uses the latest photo editing technologies to turn that photograph into a new image with a life of its own. Rarely does Barbara know when the new photo will be finished, it’s just something that she’s come to recognize.
