Pamela J. Wingard is a North Carolina artist who mostly paints flowers, coastal images, and abstract marsh scenes in a loose painterly style. She also illustrates and designs art for products. Her art is also available for licensing on products, including stationery, gifts, wall art, and home décor. Pamela is represented by Sagebrush Fine Art for publishing and licensing. She’s the proprietor of BAREFOOT STUDIOS which she says is about relaxed, real living with great style. Here viewers will find a bit of sunshine through creativity, design, and art. Pamela paints much like she cooks. She has a recipe in mind, but throws in a few ingredients that sound good together. She doesn’t measure and she finds her way as she goes. Much like the way she’d like to live her life.

When she’s not drawing or painting, the artist can be found planning her next travel adventure, writing in her journal, cooking something with lots of garlic and fresh herbs or sitting in a coffee shop with her laptop. Once she actually begins to paint (and she says it takes her forever to get started – a habit she needs to break) she just loses herself in the process. In some cases it’s challenging to make what is in her head actually appear on the paper or canvas, but most of the times it flows. Pamela isn’t sure how the process works. She has learned specific techniques, studied with very talented artists, and has a degree in graphic design. But she says sometimes it just all works and she doesn’t know where it came from.
