Larry Ditto has been photographing nature subjects for more than 4 decades and full time for close to 2 decades. His focus has been in the area south of Texas, but he also photographs in several other states in the west and mid-west. Ditto just provided photos with Adams Clark Kathy for a new book from Far Country Press. Many of his images are in "Texas Wildlife Portfolio" – not only there but in a lot of other books. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Science, he worked for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service for about 30 years. He was the Refuge Manager in the National Wildlife Refuge System where he did wonderful work. His science background has given him an enormous advantage in leading seminars and workshops and in pursuing nature photography.

He has photos published on regular basis in Bird Watcher's Digest and Texas Highways magazines, as well as Texas Parks & Wildlife and various other national calendars and periodicals. In 2000, he won the esteemed Valley Land Fund Wildlife Photo Contest which helped to boost his profile. He leads many instructional Photo tours and nature photography workshops each year. And when not shooting, he’s conducting lectures at various nature festivals across the state or judging various photography contests. Besides his HP computer that’s ever on, he uses several other equipment in his photography pursuits. Some of them are Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 7D and Canon 1D Mark IV digital cameras. He also uses Canon teleconverters and extension tubes, tripod mounts, among others.
