Farida Zaman creates art and design with a passion. She’s a freelance artist who has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. Her work has been exhibited at public and private galleries and in public and private shows in Toronto, New York City, and New Jersey. These exhibitions have made her art to be very popular. Farida considers herself really fortunate that she gets to do what she loves for a living. Much to her delight her limited edition prints have been exhibited and sold in New York City at the American Craft Museum. She gets inspiration from the people she has interacted with, the artists she admires, her clients and the feedbacks she received from clients and critics. The influence of living in many different countries while growing up is reflected in her work.

She was lucky enough to study in some of the best art schools in London, like the Wimbledon School of Art and Chelsea School of Art in London. She’s available for freelance and licensing work. Her mediums of choice are collage, watercolor, inks, and acrylics, often enhanced in Photoshop. Before she moved to North America, she launched herself in the world of freelancing in illustration in London and Geneva. Her work is used in many areas in the industry- i.e. surface design, packaging, giftware licensing, editorial and fine art, and children’s book illustrations. Her style is whimsical, colorful, lively, and upbeat, with the hopes that it makes her audience as happy as she is creating them.
