Susan Bryant is a professor of photography and fine art photographer. As long as she can remember, art has always been an important part of her life. She knew from an early age that she would become an artist. Her dreams have been fulfilled and today she’s a professional photographer. Her work has been widely exhibited across the United States in juried and solo exhibitions. Susan says that from the mudras found in customary Buddhism and Hinduism to the hand of Christ raised up in benediction, hands have reflected human intention and emotion throughout the history of art. Susan is paying attention to how such gestures are imbued with a powerful presence and lend themselves to metaphor. A body of work titled Presence and Absence is comprised of works that include Hand Collection, in which Susan is looking for ways of directly representing the indispensable nature of objects.

Her art is admired by many and can be seen on the walls of some of the most esteemed buildings in the world. Once he started working seriously as a photographer started getting freelance work and commissions on a regular basis. Her photographs can be seen in many galleries the world over. She’s always had great sell-through with her products and has spent a lot of time studying what her clients need and want so that she can effectively satisfy their needs. In most of her pieces she employs the wet-plate collodion process of the 19th century. This technique was invented in 1851, and can generate a ferrotype or an ambrotype, both positive unique images.
