For Anne Tavoletti, painting, sketching and drawing have always been her passions since childhood. She knew that at one point in time he would become and artist. Growing up in western Pennsylvania, she admired and still admires the works of Rene Gruau, John Singer Sargent, and Mary Cassatt. Her artist parents were enormous influences. Anne received her associate degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She studied fashion illustration. Her style of illustration varies greatly from editorial fashion to folk art. In her free time Anne enjoys gardening, decorating, and spending time with her two teenage sons and husband who is a graphic designer. Anne works in a variety of media, including pen and ink, acrylics, watercolors and colored pencil.
She makes her home in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. Anne executes her paintings with rich orchestrations of color and textural fluidity. Her paintings reveal a curious blend of influences. Her works seem to hold a special place in many people's hearts. Even those who are unfamiliar with her are drawn to her depictions of her subjects which draw them into another place and time. It is clear from her body of work that she captures a certain quality that reaches the core of human emotion. Anne has continued to thrive as an artist. She attends and participates in many art exhibitions. Due to the following she has attracted, her artwork can be found in many art galleries, museums and with many collectors throughout the world.
