Kate Ward Thacker creates designs exclusively for licensing for a wide variety of products and manufacturers. She started working on art from an early age, selling her work at art various festivals when she was in high school. She had a vision of making unique art and of developing her own niche. This vision can be seen on many of her products including giftware, home furnishings, and stationary products including fabric, rugs, decorative accessories, stationary, handbags, puzzles, mugs, coasters, and many others. Her paintings which are vibrantly hued are included in numerous public, private and corporate collections worldwide. Additionally, her designs are often seen in publications and on sets for TV and movies. Kate holds a degree in design. After her graduation, she spent several years working on commercial design projects while at the same time honing and developing her painting, style and design techniques.
Kate has also worked as a designer for Walt Disney Imagineering where her creativity and talent were put to good use. She was working on theme park designs for Walt Disney World and Paris Disneyland. Kate has participated in many art shows and exhibitions; she has shown her work for many years in galleries across the country. Her art speaks directly to the hearts of the viewers and stirs their emotions.
