Maggie Riegler was born in India to Scottish parents. She’s constantly experimenting with different styles and techniques to satisfy as many clients as possible, not just satisfying the purely commercial market. Small abstract tapestries, Guinea Fowl feathers with hand made papers, and many more creations are all exceptional additions to her variety of eye-catching originals and prints. Maggie obtained her degree from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, where she also became lecturer in woven textiles. Maggie used to teach and also work on her art, but with time the workload became unbearable and she decided to stop teaching so as to concentrate on large commissioned pieces. She was commissioned by St. Mary's Cathedral, Aberdeen, "Royal Princess" Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, Mobil U.K. Chevron U.K., Bank of Scotland and P & O liner. In 1986 she launched a publishing, designing and painting business together with her husband Stewart.

Apart from her own work she has completed commissions for The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The World Wildlife Fund, Avon Cosmetics United, The Boots Company Plc, Web Ivory Ltd., Distillers Diagio, and many others. She has exhibited widely in the Europe, UK, The United States and Australasia. Maggie is available for commission work. She has been residing in Speyside for several years since she left lecturing at Gray's School of Art. Her work is in many public collections as well as numerous private collections. The public collections include that of; The Royal Scottish Museum, Edinburgh, The Scottish Arts Council, The Liverpool Education Authority and The British Embassy, Cairo.
