Peter Horjus is an illustrator and graphic designer with passion for engaging imagery, thoughtful typography, rustic textures, and a variety of illustration techniques. His work spans the scope from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, from local reads to prominent national periodicals. His objective is the same for all, small or large - to create compelling visual messages that are both memorable and appropriate for his clients’ publications, products, or services. His inspiration varies from art found at hardware stores and fashion found at art openings. Horjus studied at Point Loma College where he later taught graphic design. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art. His design work is influenced by his Dutch roots in the De Stijl movement and the German Bauhaus movement built on the idea of simple order. In his Illustrations, there are everything from intricate to delightfully simple with a touch of fauvism and cubism.

He has received awards over the years in both illustration and design from The West Coast Show, AIGA: Graphic Design USA, American Illustration, Print’s Regional Design Annuals and Books, The Creative Show, and AR/100. Horjus produces award-winning illustrations and designs for a diverse group of clients. He has a full-service studio that focuses on unique solutions to all assignments and projects. The studio offers brand development including logos, icons, brochures, stationery, invitations, product design and catalogs. The studio has an Illustration side that offers corporate illustration, editorial illustration, and product illustration.
