Liz and Kate Pope are identical twins who are also referred to as The Pope Twins by their fans. They have quite different personalities but they are both artists and their talents are quite idiosyncratic. Liz and Kate Pope are like two sides of the same coin because their different personalities blend so well and help them to collaborate. This explains why when working together, they are a force to be reckoned with in the art and illustration world. they their joint venture and since then, the two have provided the artwork for over forty books as well as numerous calendars, cards, stationery, puzzles, and even gift wrap. The Pope Twins even find time to create attractive prints in their characteristic collage style. They are pretty modest about their success and they don’t like to make the success look like extraordinary. And they don’t like to make too much fuss about what they do.
The duo just prefers to get on with it. They work hard together and treat what they do just like any other job. They are obviously really delighted with how it has worked out so far. Above all, they are mainly pleased that they can make a living from doing something they love. They were born and brought up near Alfreton in Westhouses and they schooled together at Tibshelf where they both enjoyed art. Again, they both went to Chesterfield College where they studied art and then they proceeded to Staffordshire University where they both specialized in surface pattern design.
