“Maison de Ville” is a comical image of farm animals with a cartoonish style. The image is a bright red background with a decorative border in black and gold. There are painted sunflowers on both sides of the print and front and center are a sheep, a pig and a rooster – all stacked on top of each other! The bottom reads “Maison De Ville, Paris”. Katahrine Gracey is a Midwestern born artist, though she’s taken inspiration from both the French and Italian country sides in her work. This print is no exception as it’s the perfect print for a French Country styled kitchen or dining area. This print works with many different finishing options including a black frame, a canvas with black sides or a brown frame. It’s small size also lends for it to be used in a framed art collage with other pieces in a similar theme – some suggestions being other red pieces, or other French works.
