Edgar Degas The Dance Class

Degas regularly created paintings in a way that showed uncommon perspectives. As seen with "The Dance Class", Degas gives attention to the floor with a large area of the foreground devoted to it. He creates a slightly raised viewpoint, but allows the eye to travel to the ground accentuating the floorboards.
