One of Barbara Mock’s most well known paintings is this “Spring Garden in Blue I”. The piece is a set of intricately detailed blue and white vases with a colorful assortment of flowers overflowing with abundance from their tops. There are pink tulips, purple irises and some smaller flowers to accent them in white and yellow. Barbara Mock uses oil paint to bring a cheerful spirit to her art. She prides herself on studying everything about the flowers – the colors, the textures and even the scents. This attention to detail is apparent in her work as each brushstroke appears to be thought out and delicately placed. This piece of floral art is an excellent choice for traditional décor styles and rooms with a floral or feminine feel. It could also work well in a country styled home or bathroom. A white or natural colored wood frame is suggested, but cherry frame would also work well.
