Guido Borelli da Caluso (Born 1952) is an Italian fine art artist who specializes in oil painting and giclee. From his childhood, he received a lot of support from her artist family, something that inspired him to pursue his passion even further. At the age of 13 years, he already contested in a painting competition. In 1969, that’s 4 years later, he undertook his debut exhibition in Ars Plauda Gallery located in Turin. He's a graduate of Accademia Albertina, where he learned more about art and strengthened his love for art. Quite a number of his works are currently permanently collected by highly reputable art galleries in the UK, the US, France, and his home country, Italy. A few of the galleries where Borelli’s art is permanently collected are alleria Bella in New Orleans, Los Angeles, GGalerie Art Passion in St Paul de Vence, France, Gallery 1000 in Carmel by the Sea, California, and Galleria d’arte Portofino in Portofino, Italy.

His works have been influenced by De Nittis and Boldini, who are both fine artists. Borelli practices the Italian realist style of art, covering a lot of real life subjects; things that people can easily relate with. His signature works are evident due to their vivid expressions of shadow movement, using light and darks to get his desired results. Borelli uses oil painting to capture his subjects that include nature, human activities and structures.

“I am a true lover of nature and of everything gentle. My landscapes and houses combine reality and imagination. First, I store in my mind all views that I find interesting. Later, when I need a subject, those views resurface in my memory, and I paint what I selectively remember of them, with intrinsically personal modifications.” – Guido Borelli.
