French Revolution Paintings

French Revolution art documents the period in French history during 1787 to 1799. These historical event images were documented by some of the most influential artists of the 18th century and are still considered some of the most moving and inspiring works of European art available to art audiences today.

The French Revolution was also a revolutionary time for artists. Cultural paintings like 'Liberty Leading the People, 28, 1830' by Eugene Delacroix were typical of this time in European art and is a perfect example of Neo-classic prints.
