Ed Tadiello Wall Art

Ed Tadiello has been creating art for over 30 years. He does Illustration work, scenic art work and film concept illustration. He has also separated out two themes, namely Angel art and Pin-up art. He considers both of these bodies of work to be included in his fine art. People have gone into his studio wondering how he can paint both pin-up and angels, and he’s always confused and amused by such an idea. His work is essentially about the spirit in all its glory and the female form. His career path started in the early 1970s when he completed a two-year course in advertising design and Illustration at the Pan American Art School, NYC. Since then he has taken workshops and night courses with Daniel Schwartz at the Society of illustrators on painting the figure. He has also studied with David Leffel and Robert Beverly Hale of The Art Students League, and with Jack Potter and John Murrey of the School of Visual Arts.

During the 70s he freelanced, creating graphic design and illustrations for many and diverse corporations, including Sasson Jeans, Burger King, Royal Air Moroc, Charlie Browns, Lietz, among others. In 1978 he started to work as an Art director for special promotions at the JCPenney headquarters in NYC. While here he worked as part of a team responsible for the creation of umbrella display themes for holidays and special events. While working here, he freelanced at night and began Illustrating book covers for Scholastic, Harlequin, Dell, Bantam, etc. mostly Romance with some young adult and westerns titles.
