Vitali Bondarenko was born in 1968 in Kiev, Ukraine. In 1990, he graduated with the highest diploma grade from the prestigious Kiev State Institution of Fine Arts where he majored in the oil painting techniques and also developed his talents for figurative and landscape work. This made him to be automatically accepted into the Artist’s Union, which is the highest elite group of artists in Kiev, a rigidly structured soviet society. Vitali later joined the National Academy of Art and Architecture where he studied under Professor Mykola Storozhenko and graduated in 1996. In the same year, the Administration of the President of Ukraine invited him to create a range of monumental art works for Ukrainian officials. The reason being, he was one of the most promising graduates in the Architectural-design Bureau.

Vitali created tapestries which he used to decorate the Parliament House, the Ukrainian embassy in Beloruss', the premises of Administration of the President of Ukraine, a president residence of Ukraine in Zalesse, a concert hall of a house of arts "Ukrainian House”, and many other places. He is now a participant of many Ukrainian and international art exhibitions. He has participated in many national, regional and international art exhibitions, auctions, and shows in Paris, Moscow, New York, Kiev, St. Petersberg, Baltimore, and Carmel. He has since relocated to the United States of America where he now lives and is able to take his art work to a new audience. His work is very famous and can be found in private collections in the Far East, the former USSR, the USA, and Europe.
