The distinctive neo-Pop style of Romero Britto, whose compositions skillfully balance colorful patterns and bold, black outlines, reveals a highly sophisticated command of space, color and the visual experience. In 1989, Britto was commissioned by Michel Roux, former U.S. importer of Absolut Vodka and creator of their legendary advertising campaign, which launched Britto's career in the U.S. He contributes his artwork to many charitable causes, such as the American Red Cross, AMFAR, and many other AIDS-related causes, and has produced original works for numerous celebrities, including Michael Jordan, Arnold Schwartzenegger and Whitney Houston.
