Susan Edison is an American artist with 30 years of experience as an illustrator. Through the years, she's created different artwork pieces, including children's books, brochures, portraiture, Collector plates, catalogues, and fashion illustrations. Courtesy of the quality of her art, she has worked with high profile clients such as Macmillan, World Trade Center, Neiman Marcus, JCPenney, Mary Kay, and Simon & Schuster. Susan studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design located in Ohio from where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Some of her artwork pieces have featured in ABC Network shows such as 20-20, Good Morning America, and ABC World News Tonight.
She started her own freelance studio in 1981 after she moved to Dallas, Texas. Her creative pieces have seen her win several awards proffered by the Dallas Society of Illustrators. Susan started creating cowgirls and western art several years back, creating her work using acrylic glazes as her main medium. She creates her art using bold colors combined with stylized realism. Her subjects are mainly cowgirls presented riding on different horses and in different positions.
Several of her artwork pieces have been exhibited in the Montana Historical Society Magazine cover, National Cowgirl Museum, and Hall of Fame. Susan works for Patricia Wolf, the famous designer, as an illustrator. She became the official artist for the 2011 Road to The Horse painting.
Her art are currently selling through different outlets across the globe. They are sold in canvas, framed, laminated. They are also found in collections globally.
