Christian Kieffer has close to 20 years of experience behind the camera. He has established himself as one of the leading photographers in the world. While in Daytona Beach Florida, he attended the Southeast Center of Photographic Studies. After his graduation, was selected from among about 4,000 photographers to intern at Walt Disney and eventually became a staff with their Creative Photography department in Orlando. While here, he handled many large-scale photography assignments including television and film projects as well as national advertising campaigns. Kieffer decided to leave Disney in 1999 and moved to Los Angeles and joined the motion picture industry. Kieffer worked on more than one 100 productions including Swordfish, Vanilla Sky, BMW Films.com projects, AI, and numerous Television Vision commercials.
Five years later, Kieffer moved to Melbourne Australia to work on editorial imagery as well as to pursue his personal photography projects. In 2006, the artist returned to the United States (to the East coast) where he started Elysium Multimedia, his own multimedia company. He was assisted by his wife Gili. The couple was highly motivated to start the project because this is the channel through which they could assert their complete creative control. With the help of his wife in the styling and design of his shoots, the couple has juxtaposed very successfully the popular style and fashion of pinup girls of the 1940s with the grandeur and glory of classic aircraft in an elaborate series of extraordinary photographs. Each year they sell a collection of their best imagery in the calendar for pin up girls.
