Laura Denardo Wall Art

Laura Denardo is a photography artist who specializes in capturing photos of landmarks and a host of other subjects, presenting them mainly in grayscale. Her training is in the fine arts and she has a powerful understanding of composition. Laura is passionate about photography and uses it as a powerful way to express herself and share her vision as she captures the things that define her surroundings, nature, objects, and several other locations and things that many people would otherwise ignore. She never just captures anything that comes her way, picking on the things that capture her attention and considering all the angles, texture, light, and possibilities of getting the best from them. Some things that capture her attention is the seductive and far reaching effects brought about by fog, mist, and a host of other elements of weather on her subjects, helping immensely in providing sentiment and mood into her art. Laura has traveled to diverse global locations, including Vietnam, Italy, Nova Scotia, China and Cuba. Through such trips, she sees a variety of subjects and is widely inspired by her surroundings. Her creative pieces are collected by reputable institutions such as The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Carey Limousine, The Greater Baltimore Committee, among other places. Laura is an Ambridge, Pennsylvania, native who graduated from Slippery Rock State University from where she earned Art Education and Elementary Education degree. She's attended several other institutions, including Maryland Institute College of Art, Pittsburgh Institute of Art, and International Center for Photography in NYC. As a result of her artwork pieces, she's earned several awards some of which are Judge's Choice Award, Virginia Beach Boardwalk Art Show; Third Place Photography, New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival, and Juror's Choice Award, Maryland Federation of Art Spring Juried Exhibition. Her artistic works have also been exhibited in a number of platforms globally.
