“The Church at Auvers-sur-Oise” is an oil painting by the famous Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. It was created in June 1890 and is of an actual church in Place de L’Enlise, Auvers-sur-Oise, France, just outside Paris. At the center of the print is the church which sits in its own shadow. It has stained glass windows and the roof has touches of violet and orange. The steeple rises up to the clear indigo blue sky above and there is a path that is dissected by the church. A woman is walking on the left fork of the path next to green fields with white flowers. The path has heavy brush strokes of light brown that look like foot prints.
