Description:
"A Century of Progress International Exposition" was the name of a World's Fair held in Chicago, Illinois from 27 May 1933 (breaking for the winter months) to 31 Oct 1934 to celebrate the city's centennial. The theme of the fair was Technological Innovation. Its motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Conforms." The fair was opened when the lights were automatically activated, when light from the rays of the star Arcturus was detected. The star was chosen as its light had started its journey at about the time of the previous Chicago world's fair, "The World's Columbian Exposition," in 1893. The rays were focused on photo-electric cells in a series of astronomical observatories and then transformed into electrical energy, which was transmitted to Chicago. The fair was wildly successful. For the first time in American history, an international fair had completely paid for itself, attracting in its two years, just short of 50,000,000 visitors.

Laminated Art Prints
Laminating your print or poster is an inexpensive and easy way to protect it from fading, dirt and finger prints. Both sides of the poster are laminated for maximum protection.
Gallery Wrapped Canvas Art
With the gallery wrap method, the image wraps around the edge, and continues back toward the wall. The art wraps around the sides of the canvas creating a gallery style look. This canvas treatment is ideal for seamless designs, abstract images, or imagery that has a central focus.
Museum Wrapped Canvas Art
With the museum wrap method, the image goes to the edge of the surface with plain white canvas exposed on the sides. This shows well with any image and can be hung on your wall with the sides left white, or the sides can be painted with one of our 18 custom colors to match or complement the colors of the piece.
Framed Canvas
Framing a canvas is the best of both worlds. You can still see the texture of the canvas as well as embellishing the sides with your choice of high quality frames. The canvas itself gets a museum wrapped treatment in order to allow for the widest assortment of frames. A framed canvas' finished thickness is dependent on the depth of the frame that you choose.
Canvas Brushstrokes
Brushstrokes can be applied to your canvas using a clear acrylic gel that adds additional texture to the canvas, helping to recreate the feel of the original painting. For most canvas pieces, regular brushstrokes will look most natural and true to the original, but heavy brushstrokes are also available to add more texture if desired.
Framed Art
All of our framing is done in-house by expert craftsman. We use quality moldings from the industry’s leading suppliers and custom frame each piece when your order is placed.
Mats for Custom Framing
We offer a wide selection of vibrant colors for our pH neutral mats and allow you to choose from various mat widths, depending on the size of your print. The option to choose one, two or three mats for your print allows you to further customize the look of your finished piece.
Glazing Options
To finished your framed piece, we offer both glass and plexi-glass options, depending on the size of your print. Our standard options in both glass and plexi-glass are our most budget friendly way to protect your prints. We also offer non-glare options to greatly reduce reflection and glare from lights and for 99% UV protection and amazing clarity, choose our Museum Glass option.
