Bambi Papais was born in Utah where he was also raised; he went to California in her early 20s. She instantly fell in love with northern California. Primarily a self-taught artist but with a handful of workshops over the years, her watercolor style of painting can be recognized by her funny-side-of-life humor mixed with her fine sense of detail. Bambi always thinks that coloring books were a very important part of her childhood since she has been sketching as far back as she can remember. She shares her life with her husband Duane, as well as “Duster”, her bearded collie, and two kitties “Indian and Cowboy”. Her husband is the owner of Forest Meadows Properties. Her prints appear in many galleries nationwide and her original paintings are in private collections across the country.
Her note cards and art can also be found at the Art on Main Gallery in Murphys, California, the Pinecrest Gallery in California in the summer months, All That Matters in Twain Harte, Calaveras County Arts Council Gallery in San Andreas, Toad Hollow Vineyards Tasting Room in Healdsburg, Garden House in San Mateo, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Mountain Bookstore, Outhouse, and at Prestige Gallery in Angels Camp CA. For almost 2 decades, Bambi has designed images for specific requests from various companies as well as published her own line of greeting cards. Her work is licensed with Montage Licensing. Some of her clients include Marian Heath, Leanin’ Tree, Shaw Rugs, Mega Puzzles, Pure Country Weavers and Art Brands.
