Michael Davidoff (Born 1944) is a French/American artist who has extended the range of water color painting. He was born in Paris, France and revealed natural talents as a youth. He works with a controlled detailed technique, and is recognized as a devotee of "Regional Realism." Davidoff resides in Ulster County, New York with his family and maintains his studio there. The primary theme of his paintings is New England and rural New York State, depicted by seasonal landscapes and by barns, homes, historic landmarks and their natural environs. His love of New England countryside and the upstate New York and coastal waterways produce endless inspiration for his work. He graduated from the High School of Art & Design in New York City. He majored in illustration and advertising art. He continued a career in commercial art, a career that spanned for 15 years, while developing a career in fine art.
Davidoff has devoted his full attention to watercolor painting since 1975, and has established himself as an outstanding artist. He has participated in any art exhibitions in which his art has attracted many viewers. His art has found its way into many galleries, museums and homes all over the world.
