Wendy Caro believes that every living being tells a story. She’s found that wildlife, and their environment, are incredible storytellers. Wendy travels to their homes and waits for an invitation to listen, then captures that perfect moment, through their expressions, their songs, their movement, or their behavior. Wendy’s passion, and her purpose, is to listen, then professionally translate their "tales" through photography. She says that the process involves, first, discovering their language by spending many hours listening to the often-subtle nature of their voices, observing their physical characteristics, as well as their mannerisms and their behavior. Sometimes it takes days. Sometimes it happens by the side of the road. Wendy's photographs are her translation of the stories of wildlife. She has a website that’s dedicated to her lifelong passion for horses and also features images of birds and other creatures, as well as the habitat in which they live. Wendy has been involved in film and photography since 1972.

She received formal training at both the New York Institute of Photography and Boston University (BS in Film). She attended her master Classes with John Cang, Arthur Morris, Bill Silliker, Linde Weidhofer, George Lepp, David Muench, Art Wolfe, and other renowned photographers. Such a training and company has kept her on the cutting edge of photography techniques and styles. Wendy has been featured in exhibits at St. Charles Hospital, Sisters Library, Oregon, and Cafe Sintra in Bend, Oregon. She’s a publisher of open edition art cards and prints, where her images have been transformed in sepia prints featured. She’s featured artist at Canadian Art Prints. Wendy is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) as well as the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Her images can be found in private and public collections throughout the US.
