Gilles Archambault (Born 1947) was born in Montréa. He made his debut into the field of visual arts as a photographer in the advertising industry. He’s a self-taught artist who began painting more than 40 years ago and has devoted himself professionally to art year after year. First he became known as a watercolor painter, but he had worked in acrylics since the turn of the millennium. Archambault is a founding member the “The Canadian Watercolor Society.” As a skilled illustrator, Archambault created an original wine label and produced more than 100 book covers, majority of which were done in Montreal for Les Editions Libre Expression. Several magazines and art books have both discussed and published his work. His works have been exhibited exclusively in United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Europe. He has also done illustration designs for Reader's Digest, Bristol-Myers and Kraft General Foods.

In 1979, artist changed direction to devote himself fully to his rapture for creating art and painting, posters and prints. In his new medium (acrylic), he created romantic and inspirational European posters, prints and art. His work is intended to convey his love of light, sunshine, and his allure to the plays of shadow that shape natural forms into masses and create their own unique theme. It is typical for his to depict the slow moving canals, silence of Provence streets scenes, and magnificent colored doors with clay pots spilling over with many blossoming plants, and everywhere captivating blue shutters. Archambault exhibitions of posters, prints and art began almost 30 years ago. His list of corporate collectors is nearing 100 Private collectors who are in France, the United States and other European countries, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
