Painting on location, whether in Europe, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, or on the Northern California Mendocino Coast, Erin Dertner's works emanate brilliance of color and reflection of light that invites the art lover's eye to move from point to point enjoying the refreshing interplay of the vibrancy. Erin's interiors are intimate with warm, romantic detail and her exteriors complete with curtained windows, detailed architecture and garden splendor of contrasting shape, color and texture. Erin began her art career at the age of 9, under the tutelage of her designer and artist mother, and later studied with Brommer, Betts, Hutchings, Chase-Bien and Simandle. Erin is inspired by her travels abroad and the Mendocino Coast where she currently lives. Her works and talent have been acknowledged by critics, collectors, and the art community, and Erin has been the recipient of numerous awards from show competition.
