Paul Gibson has a style of producing art that reveals the hidden energy and life of ordinary objects. Gibson approaches the subjects of his work with a sense of rediscovery and imagination. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design and later on received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the National Academy of Design. Gibson’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including and the Andrea Schwartz Gallery, the National Building Museum in Washington DC and the American Institute of Architects. He studied architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA in the 1980’s. In 1986, he received a full Scholarship to study at the National Academy of Design. Just a year later he received an Honorable Mention from the Academy.

In 1989, he participated in Artitudes 7th International Art Competition which took place in Art Gallery, New York, NY, and was awarded with an Outstanding Achievement in Drawing award. In 1991, he became a finalist in a portrait competition organized by Artist's Magazine. In 1988, he started teaching at Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA, where he featured in Featured in American Artists, an Arts Calendar that Illustrates Surveys of Leading Contemporaries Awards. He taught at Academy of Art University until 2007. He has participated in exhibitions in 77 Van Ness, San Francisco, CA, Andrea Schwartz Gallery, San Francisco, CA, Visual Aids, Big Deal, San Francisco, CA, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, San Jose, CA, Arthaus, Think before you Pink, San Francisco, CA, among others.
