Framed Casey Craig Wall Art

Born in Louisiana and raised in California, Florida and Texas, Casey's earliest art influence was that of children's book illustrations during her childhood in California. Casey's collages pose a wonderful challenge, and give her a great deal of satisfaction in creating with pieces of torn paper, relying only on color and shape to make the image. To make her collages, Casey first develops a detailed drawing of her subject, then transfers it to tracing paper which she uses as a template. She then traces the image on different color papers, tearing them into desired shapes and placing them on an airbrushed background. "Only shape and color create the images," Casey says. Casey's education includes a BFA at the University of Texas.
