Leslie Saeta loves painting abstracts. For several years she painted with a palette knife using oils but recently, she started painting abstracts using acrylics. She’s crazy about color and her favorite part of painting abstracts is deciding on the color palette. Leslie loves opening the door to her Carriage House Studio (the studio turned 100 years old just recently) with no imaginations of what the painting would look like. The artist believes that the creation of each of her paintings comes from inwards and is influenced by her enjoyment and happiness of painting in bright colors with a palette knife. Her paintings are inspired by the colors found at the beaches in California, Ventura, and at South Pasadena where her home is. A few years ago, together with her husband, they purchased a beach house in Ventura and it's her favorite place to paint and spend weekends.

Of course, some of her "weekends" start on Tuesday! She just loves the cool ocean blues/greens, warm sand tones, and the warm oranges and reds in the sunsets. Leslie also loves the beautiful green trees, gorgeous sun reflections and sunset skies on the foothills of Pasadena. These colors, all of them, can be found in her abstract paintings. When she isn't painting in her studio, Leslie is devoted to helping other artists sell their art, she does this mainly online. The artist hosts a weekly talk radio show which is currently listened to by more than 20,000 artists per week. It’s titled “Artists Helping Artists.”
