Nate Owens is an Artist and Illustrator. He has done illustration and paintings since 1970. His work has involved 3D modeling and rendering, illustrative and technical, Illustration in a variety of styles, both humorous and serious, and Digital Sculpting (Presentations, Figurines, Models and Trophies). He has also done Book and Newspaper, Magazine and Book Cover illustration. Owens has published Greeting Cards and Gift Products nationally, and has done Flash Banners, Logos, Brochure, Ad Catalog and design. Owens is inspired by growing up on a farm around a menagerie of interesting critters and story-telling great uncles. Currently, his clients include Leanin' Tree, Western Horseman Magazine, GRIT, National Barrel Horse Association, McGraw Hill, Zondervan Publishing, Focus on the Family, Harvest House, ANtimes, SubAir, Visual Events, Gannett and Morris Communications, Western Graphics, Presbyterian Publishing, Ministries Today Magazine, among others.

The work is digital, using Z-Brush (3D), Sound Forge, Rhino (3D), Acid XMC, Illustrator, Painter, PhotoShop, Vegas Studio, Camtasia, Dreamweaver, Sculptris (3D), Flash, Carrara (3D), and others. Owens works in acrylics, watercolors, oils, etc. His work has been on ads, bus benches, TV spots, magazine illustrations, shirts, coffee mugs, wall decor prints and greeting cards. The humor in his art is what has been the most popular element and is what has made them to be widely published. As an art director he designed catalogs, annual reports, ads and brochures (some are in Newsweek, Time, The Saturday Evening Post and USA Today). He worked with a staff of photographers and artists, directing on-location setups and photo-shoots of products for resorts and companies.
