Robin Maria (Born in 1964) was born in Connecticut. She’s an award winning artist with artwork in permanent collections of museums, film, and is collected worldwide. She is a signature (elected) member of the Pastel Society of America. Her images are studies of color, form and texture made with the intention of bringing the beauty of natural objects to the forefront, creating a contemplative, peaceful atmosphere through interplay of light and balanced design. Her work is a result of shared ideas. She usually brings together the elements that make up each design and then create the lighting and the composition. She’s the first international winner of California Artiste Winery label artist. The artist creates from her Florida studio and in 2012 she was awarded Best Artist in Florida by Art Auction Gallery of Baterby.
Robin is listed in Florida Artists Hall of Fame of Florida International Magazine. She paints the energy and spirit of life in rhythmic layers of color. Robin is responsive to what catches her heart and eyes personifying nature. Her poetic vibrant work depicts a combination of imaginary and natural elements. She uses a symbolic visual language and explores both the invisible and visible creating a commentary on thoughts and relationships. As she works, the images can be spontaneous flowing from gathered memories. She builds layers making connections and a story unfolds and comes forth. Music plays a role in all her art making processes and seeps into her art. Robin’s work evolves, and more often by the time the painting is finished it shows a history of stories intermingled in the layers.
