Dario Moschetta is an artist from a small town near Treviso, Italy called Castelfranco Veneto. He was born there, in the same place as Giorgione, the Renaissance painter. His job is to make paintings in acrylic. He’s been experimenting with various styles and techniques developed by him. In one of the styles, he applies several layers of paper and tears them in a controlled manner. This helps him to get an irregular surface, just like in movie posters that can be seen in the street - the big city skyline in general. Moschetta also does nudes and portraits in large sizes. He uses canvas roll so he feels free to work. He says that he needs a big white surface, and when he finishes the work, he chooses the right size. He likes acrylics because it gives him a good speed of execution, and because it can be corrected at any time.

He likes bodies and people, and loves painting the busy life found in the metropolis. Moschetta wants the finished works to resemble the subject as much as possible. However, his finished works are irregular, rough, and uneven to the touch. Apart from brushes of medium size, he also uses spray water, knives, spatulas, rags, sandpaper, and step on the surface. The artist says that everything is instinctive, when something goes well without a precise logic, he doesn’t touch it anymore. He has a huge following of fans from all over the world and his art are highly priced by many discriminating collectors.
