Joanna Pechmann (Born in 1965) grew up in Poland and currently lives in Spain. Over the years, Joanna lived in Moscow, as well as St. Petersburg. Johanna began to take photographs to keep some memories after the birth of her son and while traveling. That’s when Johanna's foray in photography first began, but it was digital media that spurred her intense interest in the medium. Johanna took a 3-year course on digital photography, graduating from the New York Institute of Photography in 2005. Johanna likes to experiment with new styles and techniques which explains the diversity of her portfolio. She has an attraction to vivid, intense colors and clear forms which are easy to notice in most of his images. But there is also a place for digitally manipulated, monochrome and moody images.
Johanna loves to capture the beauty that is hidden everywhere and if the reality is a bit lacking, will apply a bit of digital magic to take the piece to a new level. Her work covers architecture, nature, travel, still lives, and wildlife. All of her photographs can be licensed for commercial, editorial, and website use. She has a growing library of images focused on subjects connected to Spain, including traditions, architecture, and cuisine. Her abstract imagery is the result of his careful observation of the ever-changing shapes, colors and lights which surround her while she’s out in the wild.
