Allen Jimmerson (born 1954) is a wildlife artist who was born in Lewiston Montana. He is a graduate of Columbia Falls High School. Jimmerson feels that in order to be a good wildlife artist, he must go out there and see the animals he paints. When he sees bears, moose, antelope or deer, it helps him to capture the mood and feelings that can help him paint them accurately. Jimmerson was officially chosen for Glacier National Park's Centennial Art. He brings from the Flathead Valley inspiring and peaceful Glacier National Park and Montana landscape and paintings of wildlife; each of the works reflect his own inspiration from personal experience with nature.
Jimmerson has sold over 800 originals to private and public collectors world wide. His work has been featured in Bow Hunter Magazine, Bugle Magazine, and Montana Outdoors, chosen for the cover of Cabela's Catalog two times and published by Reflective Art. He has participated in over 20 benefit auctions. He exhibits his work at the Western Heritage Art Show in Great Falls, MT. A life-long passion for the outdoors and wildlife has led him to devote his career to full time painting landscapes and wildlife. A prolific and disciplined painter, Jimmerson learns and studies at the easel and in the field, using light, rich colors, and using meticulous detail in each piece. Many of his originals are sought after by sportsman groups. Jimmerson’s Gallery and Studio are located in Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell, Montana.
